FIRST TEAM
Take a peek at our 1st Team in our third season in the Essex Senior Premier League!
Buckhurst Hill FC launched its Senior team in 2004 and in that time they have risen up the ranks of the Essex Olympian League, going on to win the Premier Division Championship twice before gaining Senior status and moving into the Thurlow Nunn League Division One South.
Following promotion at the first time of asking in the 2022/23 season, the senior team will now be playing their second season in the Essex Senior League, and with it comes our entrance into the FA Cup. This season the club will also play once again in the FA Vase, as well as the Essex Senior Cup.
MEET THE MANAGEMENT
Mark Williams
1st team manager
Manager Mark Williams has risen through the ranks; having started off as a manager for an U8 side, Mark then went on to manage a number of sides right up to the U18s becoming one of the most successful youth managers at the club in the process as he won a lot of titles and cups.
He was then asked to become the first team manager and has been instrumental in the restructuring of our senior structure, utilising a club ethos of producing home grown talent, recruiting and developing from within the club. Our ambitions of moving the club up the football pyramid using home grown talent are shared by Mark, who keeps an eye on the rising talent coming through the youth ranks.
Ted Buchanan
Assistant Manager
Ted Buchanan, 25, has lived in Hornchurch his entire life.
He has a deep passion for coaching, starting his journey in the foundation phase and progressing to his current role working with senior players—a role he thoroughly enjoys.
Beyond coaching, Ted has built a career in insurance broking, working in London since the age of 18.
