Buckhurst Hill FC will once again play host to one of the summer’s standout football community events as the 6th Laurence Slater Trophy takes place on Sunday 19th July 2026 in aid of Cancer Research.
Taking place at Roding Lane, the event promises an afternoon packed with football, entertainment and fundraising as the Chigwell Athletic Legends take on a Celebrity Ex Pros XI featuring a host of familiar faces from across the football world.
With doors opening at 1pm and kick-off scheduled for 2pm, supporters can expect a fantastic family atmosphere with food, drinks, raffles and half-time entertainment all helping to raise money for an incredibly important cause.
The Laurence Slater Trophy has become a well-supported annual event within the local football community and continues to grow year after year, bringing together former players, celebrities, supporters and families for a brilliant occasion while supporting Cancer Research.
This year’s game will once again feature a mix of former professionals, local football legends and well-known personalities, all coming together to honour Laurence Slater’s memory and raise vital funds.
There will also be:
