Buckhurst Hill Football Club is delighted to announce two new additions to the club as part of its growth plans and to support the first team in preparation for its debut at Step 5 of the football pyramid in the Essex Senior League.

Anthony Mercer joins the senior committee as senior secretary and brings a wealth of experience to help support the club’s ambitions.

Anthony has spent many years at Tilbury FC  as well as other clubs at Step 3 and numerous positions within the FA, and will bring much needed experience to the committee and support to first team manager Mark Williams and the whole senior section.

The club is also pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Lanza as press officer across the whole of the club.

Scott has been a friend of Buckhurst Hill for many years as press officer for the Olympian League and the last few seasons as press officer for the Essex Senior League.

Scott will be responsible for all press, social media PR activities as well as the club’s new website which will be launched before the new season.

The club will continue to use the Everything Local News media service, part of the local news and information service Everything Epping Forest, to promote its matchday news and club activities.

Club chairman Simon Cornwell said: “I am delighted to welcome both Anthony and Scott to the Buckhurst Hill Family as we work hard to improve on and off the pitch.

“We are working incredibly hard during the close season on numerous ground improvements and finding sponsors with details of new sponsorship packages to be released shortly to help fund the developments we have planned to improve the matchday experience for the community to enjoy.

“We will have more positive news to share with you over the coming weeks.”
