EJA League Cup – Enfield Town v BHFC EJA u15s

The U15 Stags began the 22/23 season with a reflective minute’s silence in memory of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

With the fixture having been reversed late to Chigwell 3G, the Blue & Blacks knew their chances of revenge for last season’s cup defeat had been increased.

Starting the season with an extremely strong squad of Coton, Farrugia, Denmark, Jones (Captain), Massingham, Baxter, Hooper, Woodward, Emmanuel, Gillary, Le Voir, Buburuzan, Gibbins, Das and Dimov, Hill lived up to the pre-season hype, and completely dominated the team from Donkey Lane.

After recording 31 shots, with only 1 against, you could argue the ‘Town side were flattered by the 4-0 scoreline.

Goals from: Das (Assist: Emmanuel, Denmark), Massingham (A: Buburuzan), Buburuzan (A: Le Voir, Hooper) and Gillary (A: Woodward).

Opta stats did not attend the game, but 80%+ possession was probably fair.

The Boys host old friends May & Baker EJA on Sunday 26th at midday at Myrak Park. Followed by 3 away games at Barking, Hadley, and AFC Sudbury in the next round of the cup.

We’ll keep you posted.
