MATCH PREVIEW | AFC Welwyn Vs Buckhurst Hill | Isuzu FA Vase First Round Proper
A match preview ahead of today’s Isuzu FA Vase First Round tie against AFC Welwyn.
Buckhurst Hill travel to Hemel Hempstead FC’s Focus Community Area for an FA Vase first round tie against fellow step 5 side, AFC Welwyn.
The Stags look to keep the best form they have had so far this season going after a brilliant performance away from home against White Ensign last time out in the Essex Senior League and also picking up a point at home against league leaders at the time Little Oakley FC.
FA VASE HISTORY
Buckhurst Hill FC look to break the records this season and if they’re to do that, they must beat their record from their first ever season in the competition when they reached the third round proper where we fell short to Wroxham FC in front of a packed out Roding Lane.
The competition can also be remembered by the club after a 3-0 victory over Enfield FC at home with the unveiling of the Simon Cornwell Stand marking the important day and a late win against Suffolk side Gorleston FC with a late winner from former player Sonny Shilling to clinch the victory.
