Buckhurst Hill Football Club continues to grow, and with that growth comes the need for more people to get involved behind the scenes, on the touchline, and on the pitch. As we plan ahead for the 2026/27 season, we are looking to welcome new volunteers, managers, teams, and young players to help support and strengthen our youth section.
Whether you have experience in grassroots football or are considering stepping into a role for the first time, there are plenty of ways to get involved and make a real difference.
*Get Involved*
Grassroots football relies on volunteers, parents, and community members who are willing to give a little time to create big opportunities for young players. Every role, whether on the committee, in administration, or on the pitch, plays a vital part in keeping the club moving forward.

Together, we can continue to build a positive, inclusive, and well-run environment for everyone at Buckhurst Hill Football Club.

Youth Club Secretaries (Two Roles Available)
We are urgently looking for two Youth Club Secretaries to share responsibilities and support the smooth running of our youth teams.
This role is central to the club’s organisation and involves working closely with managers, leagues, and the FA to ensure everything runs efficiently throughout the season. Responsibilities include arranging weekly fixtures, liaising with leagues and grounds, supporting registrations, entering teams into leagues and cups, organising pitch inspections, and helping coordinate youth tournaments. The role also involves communication with club officers, ordering equipment, arranging referee payments, and attending league meetings.
Support and guidance will be provided, and responsibilities will be shared to keep the role manageable.

Youth Discipline Officer
We are also seeking a Youth Discipline Officer to help oversee and manage disciplinary matters across our youth teams.
This role includes acknowledging yellow and red cards, dealing with league and county fines, collecting monies from teams, supporting managers with any disciplinary issues, and collating statements for submission to the County FA. Attendance at disciplinary meetings is only occasional.
This position plays an important role in maintaining standards, supporting clubs and teams through processes, and ensuring issues are handled fairly and efficiently.

Youth Committee Members
To support the continued development of the club, we are inviting volunteers to join our Youth Committee.
Committee members attend quarterly meetings, provide general support to the club, assist at events when available, and contribute ideas, suggestions, and feedback to help improve how the club operates. This is a great role for anyone who wants to have a voice in the club’s direction without committing to weekly duties.

Managers and Teams Wanted for the 2026/27 Season
Looking ahead to next season, we are actively seeking Managers and teams for the following age groups:
• Under 13s
• Under 12s
• Under 11s
• Disability Team
We are planning one team per age group, each led by a committed manager who values player development within a positive, inclusive environment. Parents stepping up as first-time managers are very welcome, and full support will be provided.
The club will assist with registrations, league administration, coaching qualifications, safeguarding requirements, and access to facilities and equipment, ensuring managers can focus on developing players and enjoying the experience.

Players Wanted – U5 Mini Soccer (Mini Kickers)
We are also welcoming new players to join our Mini Kickers group for the 2026/27 season.
Mini Kickers is designed to give children a fun, safe, and positive introduction to football. Sessions focus on enjoyment, confidence, and basic movement and ball skills rather than competition. The programme offers a relaxed, pressure-free first step into football, ideal for children trying the game for the first time.
If your child is ready to explore football in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you.
