By Paul Downes

BHFC u15s won 2-1 against Harlow Town FC, showcasing resilience and determination despite challenging circumstances. The boys displayed remarkable fortitude, enduring the pressure imposed by the officiating, which unfortunately marred the flow of the game. Despite these adversities, our players persevered, delivering exceptional performances throughout the season.

Henry Huckle’s birthday brace secured the victory, highlighting his prowess on the field. With this win, we proudly clinched our second consecutive championship title, a testament to the dedication and talent of our team.

Despite facing a 14-hour downpour and a postponed home game, our determination prevailed. Thanks to some swift manoeuvring, we secured a pitch at Hackney Marshes, with Harlow graciously agreeing to the change.

The match was gruelling, with Harlow proving to be a formidable opponent. However, our relentless pressure paid off, with Huckle converting a penalty and later scoring from a well-placed corner. Despite a spirited comeback attempt from Harlow, fueled by contentious refereeing decisions, we maintained our composure to secure the win.

While the victory was cause for celebration, the players’ frustrations with the officiating dampened the mood. Nonetheless, we remain undeterred in our pursuit of excellence, setting our sights on the EJA Champions League. Onwards and upwards, fueled by our unwavering determination and resilience. ⚫️🔵⚫️🔵⚫️🔵 #DoubleChamps #Resilience #BHFC
