Under 9 Royals Debut in Junior Premier League

Buckhurst Hill u9s Royals made their debut in the Junior Premier League last Saturday.

This was the first time in the clubs history we have ever had a team in the competition and we came up against a very good footballing team in Hannakins.

Due to the holidays our preparation was not what we wanted it to be in regards of playing against other teams, so we have had to invite other players to train with us to get used to the 7 a side pitch and extra players on the pitch.

We went ahead with a great strike from James H only for Hannakins to take a 3-1 lead, I’ve got to say I loved the way Hannakins moved the ball around, was a pleasure to watch, but one thing the u9 Royals have is character. They never throw the towel in and goals from Joel and Freddie earned the u9s a well deserved draw.

Nice to bump into Carlos Santos London’s original Futsal man and mentor to me in my early coaching days, we look forward to our 2nd game on Saturday vs BJM Youth.
